Abstract
Educational Research Center (ERC) will hold its 3rd annual conference on March 26 and 27, 2011, at Grand Hills Hotel in Broumana, Lebanon, under the theme:Educational Measurement for Continuous Professional Development
The conference is a distinguished pan-Arab and international annual event. It brings together representatives of ministries of education from all over the Arab World, along with Arab and international policymakers, researchers, university professors and school teachers interested in the conference theme.
The conference will address the following issues:
1. Lifelong teacher education: framework and programs of pre-service and in-service teacher education.
2. Teachers’ perspective of educational measurement in the classroom, and its role in guiding teacher practice.
3. Stakeholders’ perspective of lifelong teacher education and the role of educational measurement in the process.
4. The role of technology in educational measurement and teacher education. Blended programs of teacher education.
5. Factors governing the efficiency of teacher education and the use of educational measurement for continuous professional development.
6. Educational measurement, teacher education, and school and systemic reform.
